Curriculum

Here are standards-aligned curriculum resources to support face-to-face and blended learning in your classrooms.

The shift to distance education highlighted challenges including access to technology, professional learning for educators, and high-quality instructional materials. In response, NDE created the Nevada Digital Learning Collaborative (DLC) to support educators and families in providing and participating in distance education across the State. The Path Forward Plan will build on the work of the DLC as well as leverage resources anticipated through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act to increase our capacity to successfully teach and learn at a distance.

There are many ways to successfully search this website of resources. There are resources for parents, teachers, administrators, counselors, and so many others. This page will demonstrate ways to translate this website into numerous languages, to search, filter, and use keywords and topics to find the resources most useful.

Educators

These are unprecedented times. COVID-19 has presented education with a challenge: how will we as educators ensure that our students are receiving high-quality, standards-aligned curriculum and instruction no matter what the societal, environmental, and familial situation is? This experience has given us the opportunity to identify the shortcomings in education and create a path forward. So let’s roll up our sleeves and get busy with re-defining what education looks like, what it means, and how it can improve with the times.

Families

The partnership between school and home has never been more important and at the forefront than through this experience with COVID-19. Family members have become an integral part of their child’s educational experience, in many cases with no prior knowledge on how to support learning from home. We hope these resources will help family members today and in the future as they continue to partner with educators and schools.

Students

The important thing to remember is that learning is something you will do each and every day of your life. It is up to YOU to continue your education. Education, in all of its many forms, is there for you to gain what you can from it, grow as an individual, and prepare for the future that you want to have. It isn’t up to any particular teacher, your friends, or even your parents. It is up to YOU and how you want to shape your future and the kind of person you want to be.
